Saying Goodbye is Never Easy

As we come to the second part of the season, it’s no secret, we should be better. So, so much better. Why aren’t we? Clearly these boys are not family. Clearly there is a divide. I do not necessarily mean an “us vs. them”, but maybe “old way vs, new way”? I clearly have no idea, just spit ballin an idea… I just don’t understand. the players are there, the talent is there, why can’t we tap into it?

At what point to we look at leadership, or lack thereof? I hate to ask it, but the question now begs to be asked, “Where is the leadership?” There is already one team member that “did it wrong and went to the media”. Maybe he’s not being heard elsewhere? I love Ross as much as anyone who appreciates the 2016 team, but come on, when is enough, enough? I really do not believe this is a “player can’t get his shit together”, rather a “this team does not know how to play together”. Team building seems to be an answer, but how? Is that mentality too late? Best to hold off until we have a more set/stable situation. So many questions, and NO real answers.

What I do know is, my gratitude for all that the 2016 CUBS brought into our lives will forever be etched into my soul. Those that will be replaced, will be missed terribly, and I can sat they will always have a place in my heart, BUT, IT’S TIME TO WIN GAMES, AGAIN.

Win or lose, I am still a CUBS FAN!!!!!
